For this first play, Vincent Thomasset brings into play, in a funny and playful way, the power relations that can exist between director and performers by assuming, in turn, the function of choir conductor, then riding instructor. Lorenzo De Angelis crosses the room in a filigree way, hidden under a checkered anorak, trying to escape the audience and the director’s instructions while remaining on the set. He is attentive to the text, produces gestures and movements sparingly, and opens up the field of possibilities.
